Our platform for automotive enquiry management is now used by more dealer groups than ever before, helping you deliver the experiences your customers are looking for. And at a time when used car demand remains strong, efficiently managing high volumes of enquiries is crucial to maximising revenue.
At the same time, we’ve also given you a range of new developments alongside integrations between some of the CitNOW Group businesses, providing a foundation to further your success in 2023. This blog will take a look at the Dealerweb highlights of 2022, including the latest trends from December on the new and used enquiry and order landscape.
Key facts and analysis
As the automotive retail industry has continued to evolve throughout 2022, Dealerweb has been able to support an additional 29 dealer groups and 5,095 users across the industry.
Showroom has the ability to help you gain a new level of insight from your data, and a dive into its reporting capabilities has uncovered some interesting trends. Figures from December show a strong level of sales resulting from enquiries into used cars, with 31% of all enquiries received in the last month being converted into orders - that’s two percentage points higher than in the previous year.
Total OTR (on-the-road) values for new cars have fallen by 6.5%: this is likely down to a reduction of cars being sold in total. On the other hand, the total OTR of used cars has risen by more than 16%, and while the average has dropped by 0.7%, it remains relatively high.

Growth of CitNOW Group
Dealerweb plays a core part of the rapidly expanding CitNOW Group, which brings together a number of market-leading technologies that make Sales and Aftersales customer success and innovation a reality for hundreds of dealer groups.
The CitNOW Group family grew significantly in 2022, with these new businesses now working alongside us: Auto Imaging, AutoSLM, Dealerdesk, REALtime Communications and Web1on1.
Additionally, in November CitNOW Group released a new report, ‘Uniting Customers and Retailers Through Technology’. The report analyses the views of more than 1,000 car owners, industry experts and digital research, and focuses on what they’re looking for from automotive retail experiences today. As a result, dealerships can better understand how to meet customer expectations, and how technology can help.
Major development in 2022
Across the year, there have been plenty of innovations across Dealerweb that have helped our users get even more from the platform.
Our monthly rollout of new product enhancements has continued throughout 2022. We made more than 90 enhancements over the course of the year, and we’ll keep adding further improvements and new capabilities all the way through 2023. In particular, we’ve focused on updates to customer requirements, and integrations with other technologies like cap hpi and Keyloop, so that sales staff and customers alike can enjoy the easiest, most efficient experiences possible..
Dealerweb has also been integrated with two of the other solutions within CitNOW Group. The integration between Showroom and CitNOW Sales that allows video history to be logged, and helps users create, share and monitor personalised CitNOW videos from the platform. Additionally, the integration with the Tootle solution for part exchange appraisals simplifies the act of handling part exchanges within the overall sales process.
And to help sales staff develop their skills and improve their knowledge of Dealerweb Showroom, we’ve launched our ‘Road to Sale’ Academy programme. Customers can access learning and development material directly through Showroom, including online video modules, which are beneficial to both new and experienced users alike.
